Why You Should Use Black Soap Before Your Scrub Mitt.

Why You Should Use Black Soap Before Your Scrub Mitt.

If you've experienced red raw skin from a scrub mitt, you need Black Soap!

In the quest for radiant, rejuvenated skin, the traditional Moroccan hammam ritual reveals a timeless secret: the combination of Black Soap and a Kessa mitt.

This duo has been a cornerstone in Moroccan beauty practices for centuries, known for its remarkable ability to scrub away dead and dry skin, unveiling a layer of youthful, glowing skin beneath.

Moroccan Black Soap, often hailed as a natural wonder in skincare, plays a pivotal role in the hammam ritual. Unlike conventional soaps, it boasts a rich, balm-like texture, created from a blend of olive oil and crushed olives, and is sometimes infused with eucalyptus, rose or other essential oils for an added sensory experience.

Unlike other scrubs and washes, the Black Soap is left on the skin and then rinsed off BEFORE you use the Marrok Mitt.

Why Black Soap is Essential for Exfoliation:

Preparation for Exfoliation: When applied to the body, Black Soap acts as a mask to help lift dead skin before the exfoliating action of the Kessa mitt. It helps to bind the dead skin cells, allowing the mitt to sweep them away effortlessly.

Deep Pore Cleansing: Black Soap is designed to penetrate deep into the pores, softening the skin and preparing it for exfoliation. Its unique composition helps to dissolve dirt and impurities, making it easier to scrub away dead skin cells.

Natural Nourishment: Packed with vitamins and antioxidants, Black Soap not only cleanses but also nourishes the skin. Its high vitamin E content is especially beneficial in repairing and protecting the skin barrier.

The Marrok Mitt:

Once you've rinsed the Black Soap off your skin, dampen the Marrok Mitt and use in firm, circular and sweeping motions on your body.

With its coarse texture, the Marrok Mitt works in harmony with the softened skin, thanks to the soap. The mitt's gentle abrasive action effectively removes the outer layer of dead skin cells, which can often appear as dry or flaky patches.  As you control the pressure you're applying with the mitt, you also control the effective level of friction for your skin.

The Combined Effect:

Together, Black Soap and the Marrok Mitt work to make the most of exfoliation:

Eradicate Dead Skin: This combination ensures a thorough removal of dead and or dry skin, revealing smoother, brighter skin.
Stimulate Blood Flow: The physical exfoliation process boosts circulation, contributing to the skin's natural glow and vitality.
Prepare Skin for Further Treatment: Post-exfoliation, skin is prepared to absorb moisturisers, oils, or other treatments, enhancing their efficacy.

Incorporating Black Soap and a mitt into your skincare routine is more than just a nod to traditional Moroccan beauty rituals; it's a commitment to nurturing your skin in the most natural and effective way.

Embrace this age-old secret for modern body care and step into a world where every exfoliation session leaves your skin not just clean, but silky smooth.

    4 Simple Steps:

    1. Lather a spoon-sized piece of Black Soap in your hands and apply all over your body

    2. Let the soap sit for a few minutes, preferably in a hot, steamy space (we like to turn the shower off while allowing the steam to do its work).

    3. Then RINSE the Black Soap OFF your skin, but don't rub it or use a washcloth.

    4. Take the dampened Marrok Mitt and start scrubbing!  You may see little rolls of dead skin coming off on the mitt.

    5. Rinse clean, pat dry and apply Argan Oil all over for extra moisture.
